Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome went to anoint Jesus’ body but found the stone rolled away and an angel inside. The angel told them Jesus had risen and would meet them in Galilee. Later, Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene, two disciples, and the eleven apostles, instructing them to preach the gospel and promising signs to accompany their faith.
